"The stool was cute, however one of the letters was messed up. This was a gift to a friend so she called the company to say something. The wood in one spot also did not look good on the stool. I paid extra to have the wood refinished and look nice and that did not happen. Love the stool idea and how they do it, however the wood was messed up. We are looking into having it fixed!"

"Love this puzzle name stool.... I have given this as a gift on four occasions- each time it is perfect as the kids "grow" into it. It is great for learning to spell one's name, for reaching new heights (brushing teeth, washing hands) or even for just sitting. "Have now purchased two of these, for a friend's son and a cousin's daughter. Both are sturdy and well-made. Held up under my cousin's husband's weight, although I'm sure that impromptu "test" is not recommended! The colors are vibrant and look great in both color styles. A few minor complaints: the bench, legs, and tops of letters are finished, but the sides of the letters are not. There is a possibility of getting a splinter, although this chance is probably reduced over time with skin oils smoothing the wood with use. Also, note that all the "holes" in the letters that require them are not cut out with (presumably) a jigsaw like the outer edge of the letters, but are just drilled through with what appears to be a 3/4" drillbit. As seen in the photo above, these small holes look fine in lowercase letters (a, e, etc), but look a little silly in an uppercase R. It would look better with a larger, better shaped hole, but this wouldn't stop me from ordering more in the future. All around, a very well-received gift."

"This is a very well made product! I have bought four of these stools over the years when each grandchild became a toddler. Great Gift for the Little Ones date: December 16, 2011
"Would actually give 4 1/2 stars but, that was not an option. I bought two of these stools for Christmas gifts. I am thrilled with the stools with one minor issue. One of the stools has several large knots in the wood. Since the wood is so light, the knots are rather obvious and compete with the child's name. He's 18 months old so I'm guessing they won't bother him as much as they bother me. Since this is not an inexpensive item, it is a little disappointing."
